Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Zauj mobile application and related services (together, “Zauj”). By creating an account or using Zauj, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Zauj.

Zauj is a matrimonial service intended for adults who are sincerely seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic values. You must be at least 18 years old, legally eligible to marry, and using the service for yourself. One person may hold one account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

You are responsible for your account and for the activity that happens under it. You agree to use Zauj respectfully and lawfully, and not to harass, deceive, impersonate, solicit, or endanger other members; not to post unlawful, hateful, or explicit content; and not to misuse, scrape, or attempt to circumvent the service or its safety features. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

To keep the community safe, Zauj verifies members. Verification documents and your selfie are used solely to confirm you are a real, eligible person, are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and are not shown on your profile. Photos you add are displayed blurred to other members and are only revealed in clear form after both sides mutually agree to an identity reveal.

Zauj offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, ZAWJ Pro, that unlocks premium features. The subscription title, length, and price are shown in the app and on the App Store before you purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device’s Account Settings (Apple ID → Subscriptions); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and refund requests are handled by Apple. Prices may change; any change applies only to future billing periods and, where required, only after notice to you.

Zauj is an introduction service. We help you present a proposal and connect with compatible members, but we do not guarantee that you will find a match or marry, and we do not conduct background checks beyond the verification described above. You are responsible for your own decisions and for meeting others safely.

You may stop using Zauj and delete your account at any time from within the app; deleting your account removes your profile and proposals from the service. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect members or the service. Deleting the app does not by itself cancel an active subscription — cancel it in your device’s Account Settings.

Zauj is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zauj and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or your interactions with other members.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Zauj after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
