Zauj has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Zauj is an adults-only platform for Muslim marriage; access is strictly limited to adults aged 18 and over. These standards explain how we prohibit, prevent, and respond to CSAE, and how anyone can report a concern.
Zero tolerance for CSAE
We strictly prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation of any kind on Zauj. This includes, without limitation, any content, message, conduct, grooming, solicitation, or link that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits anyone under the age of 18. Accounts involved in CSAE are removed and permanently banned, and we report apparent CSAM to the appropriate authorities.
An adults-only service (18+)
Zauj is intended solely for adults seeking marriage, and every member must be at least 18 years old. Members verify their identity with a selfie and a government-issued photo ID; this identity check also helps confirm that members are adults. We remove any account we determine to belong to a minor. People under 18 are not permitted to create or hold a Zauj account.
How to report a child safety concern
Zauj provides an in-app reporting tool on member profiles and conversations. The report reasons include an explicit “Underage” option for flagging a suspected minor, alongside inappropriate content, harassment, fake profiles, and scams. You can also block any member instantly. To report a child safety concern outside the app, or to reach our child safety team directly, email support@getzauj.com. We treat child safety reports as a priority.
How we respond
When we become aware of CSAE, we act quickly to remove the offending content and account, permanently ban the individuals involved, preserve relevant information as required, and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant regional or national authorities, in line with applicable law. We cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation of child safety matters.
Legal compliance
Zauj complies with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where it operates and reports CSAE to regional and national authorities where required by law.
